Welcome to The Homestead at FLOCKHILL

Experience life in the majestic Southern Alps. Revel at the sheer magnificence of New Zealand’s untouched landscapes at Flock Hill Station. For those with an adventurous spirit, and refined taste.

Finished with high beam ceilings, crushed velvets, natural materials, and perfectly framed views, The Homestead at FLOCKHILL blends the wilderness of the outdoors with a luxe interior, creating a sense of living in an oil painting.

Featuring four deluxe bedroom suites, each offering an ensuite bathroom with luxurious bath with a view, walk-in-wardrobe, private terrace, gas fire, mini bar, and Nespresso machine.

One of the world’s most scenic train journeys – the TranzAlpine Railway – traverses the property for over 25 kilometres, winding freely along Broken River and the tranquil Slovens Stream, and is an idyllic method of arrival (or departure) from the property.

Fill your days with fresh mountain air, fine food and wine and life-changing experiences that can only be discovered at FLOCKHILL.

A stay here is a remarkable experience for even the most well-travelled.

The Homestead at FLOCKHILL sits proudly yet peacefully in an elevated position in the centre of a valley, attuned to the surrounding wilderness and bearing witness to undisturbed life in the Southern Alps.

Flock Hill Station is a working 36,000 acre sheep farm in the Craigieburn Valley in New Zealand’s South Island. Located close to Arthur’s Pass, the property is surrounded by dramatic mountains, winding rivers and glistening lakes that support high country life in all its forms.

Visitors are treated to a spectacular landscape alive with the forms and hues unique to this remote location. See the whispering brown tussock contrast against the meandering blue rivers. Watch the glowing sun set behind the striking silhouette of the mountains.

Wake slowly to the earthly sounds of the high country in The Homestead’s luxury accommodation as Flock Hill Station stirs to life, just 1.5 hours from Christchurch.

From December 2024, there are more opportunities to experience Flockhill, with the opening of 7 villas and Sugarloaf alpine restaurant. More details.
